PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve practicality of a suspension system including an electromagnetic type actuator. SOLUTION: A motion converting mechanism such as a screw mechanism provided on the actuator is formed in a structure comprising a two-member relative motion allowing mechanism in which two members are allowed to make relative motion in a case where force greater than set force is added such as a torque limiter mechanism. The system is provided with functions to detect whether or not the relative motion of the two members is allowed by the two-member relative motion allowing mechanism (S90-92), and, based on the result of detection, for example, to carry out control to eliminate the relative motion in a case where relative motion of the two members is generated (S95), or provide a state in which force generated by a motor becomes resistance to rotation motion of the motor in a case where relative motion of two members is eliminated (S100).
