PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress unnecessary operation by shortening driving time of an occupant crash protection device. SOLUTION: When collision is forecasted, an angle of a seat back is adjusted to be a target angle. At this time, in the beginning, only drive of a seat actuator is started so as not to transmit the drive to a mechanism for changing a seat status by an electromagnetic clutch. When forecasted time to collision becomes shorter, the electromagnetic clutch is turned ON, the drive of the seat actuator is transmitted to the mechanism for changing the seat status, and adjustment of the seat back angle is started.
