PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a casing component member capable of preventing leakage of fluid. SOLUTION: In the first stage of this method, a first intermediate workpiece 31 having a connecting-part forming part 16d and flat parts 21 is formed. In a second stage, a second intermediate workpiece 33 in which the depth of the bend of the connecting-part forming part 16d is larger than that of the first intermediate workpiece 31 and the width of the flat parts 21 is smaller is formed. In a third stage, a third intermediate workpiece 36 having the connecting-part forming part 16d, inclined flat parts 34 and narrow flat parts 35 is formed. In a fourth stage, a fourth intermediate workpiece 37 is manufactured by pressurizing the inclined flat parts 34 of the third intermediate workpiece 36 obliquely upward and collecting materials in the connecting part between the inclined flat parts 35 and the side walls of the connecting-part forming part 16. In a fifth stage, a fifth intermediate workpiece 39 on which burrs 38 are formed in the opening end parts of both side walls of the connecting-part forming part 16d is formed by pressurizing the side walls of the connecting-part forming part 16d, the inclined flat parts 34 and the narrow width flat parts 35 of the fourth intermediate workpiece 37 from the upside and the downside.
