1284824 Transfer printing JOSEPH DAWSON (HOLDINGS) Ltd G A SMITH and A J LAIDLAW 19 April 1971 [11 May 1970] 22689/70 Heading D1B Animal fibres e.g. wool are printed by transferring a dye from a roll of paper to a fabric or material which has been padded preferably with an aqueous acidic liquid paste of a thickening agent, the transfer being effected by heating the fabric or material with the printed roll of paper at 80‹ to 120‹C in a press at up to 101bs per square inch for less than 10 minutes the material or fabric then being washed in water and dried. Preferably locust bean gum is used as thickener and the padding liquid contains sulphamic acid. |
