Stripping enamel from a plastic part is carried out in a dipping process in a paint-stripping solution at a bath temperature of less than 100[deg] Celsius, e.g. 35-50[deg] Celsius, especially 40-45[deg] Celsius, and by applying ultrasound and subsequent washing of the plastic part. A paint-stripping bath has a pH value of 11. The plastic part has a sojourn time of 4-7 hours in the paint-stripping bath. Ultrasound is applied in a frequency range of 40-60 KHz.
