A recuperative heat exchanger including a plate at least partially defining a first flow path. A portion of the first flow path can extend between first and second edges of the plate. The heat exchanger can also include a second flow path including a plurality of channels at least partially defined by a plurality of fins supported on a surface of the plate. The plurality of channels can have inlet ends proximate the first edge of the plate and exit ends proximate the second edge of the plate. The inlet ends of the channels can be spaced at varying distances from the first edge of the plate.
