<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the visibility of a character sequence constituting a highlighted selection item in a display device for displaying a list of the selection items. <P>SOLUTION: The display device includes: a display means displaying a plurality of lines of characters; and a display control means for displaying the list of the prescribed respective selection items on the display means, and then for displaying thereon the indicated selection item to be identified from the other selection items. The display control means displays the indicated selection item while scrolling it along a line direction using N lines (step 54) in response to a value of L (step 53), or without scrolling it using N+1 lines (step 55), when a relation of N×X<L≤(N+1)×X is satisfied (step 52), wherein L represents the number of characters constituting the indicated selection item, X represents the number of characters displayable in one line by the display means, and N is a prescribed positive integer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
