<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sequence related to cancer (especially carcinogenesis and breast cancer). <P>SOLUTION: Provided is a novel sequence related for use in the diagnosis and treatment of carcinomas (especially breast cancers). In addition, described is the use of novel compositions for use in screening methods. Provided are compositions and methods in cancer associated with altered expression of PRDM11. Provided is a method for screening a medicine candidate. The method includes the processes of: (a) a process for providing a cell which contains a nucleic acid sequence selected from the group consisting of specific sequence and its fragments and expresses a cancer-associated (CA) gene; (b) a process for adding the medicine candidate to the cell, and (c) a process for determining the effect of the medicine candidate in the expression of the CA gene. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
