<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a polarizing plate, which maintains a high-quality display image of a display such as a liquid crystal display for a long period of time, and to provide a polarizing plate using the same, and a liquid crystal display. <P>SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the polarizing plate, the polarizing plate sequentially includes: a first protective film comprising a cellulose acylate resin; a polarizer; and a second protective film comprising a cycloolefin-based resin. The first protective film includes 200-1,500 g/m<SP>2</SP>/day vapor permeability at 60°C, 95% RH; and the second protective film includes 0.1-10 g/m<SP>2</SP>/day vapor permeability at 60°C, 95% RH. The polarizing plate includes, at a wavelength of 480 nm at 20°C, 98% RH, ≤0.005% vertical transmittance, and ≥32% parallel transmittance. The method of manufacturing the polarizing plate includes a step of: bonding the first and second protective films on both sides of the polarizer, respectively, through an adhesive solution; and thereafter, drying the polarizing plate at the temperature of 40 to 55°C till the moisture content of the polarizing plate becomes at least ≤70 mass% that of the polarizing plate immediately after bonded with the adhesive solution. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
