<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a window-glass breakage detection device capable of reliably detecting breakage of a window glass even when the window glass is left without being completely broken to pieces in the breakage of the window glass. <P>SOLUTION: At least part of the window-glass breakage detection device 40 is positioned inside a through-hole 5c provided in the window glass 5, and the through-hole 5c of the window glass 5 is urged in an expanding direction by elasticity of the window-glass breakage detection device 40. With the breakage of the window glass 5, the window glass 5 in a periphery of the through-hole 5c is broken and at least part of the window glass 5 in the periphery of the through-hole 5c is displaced.
