<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique improving mold releasability of a lens array with lenses arranged on a glass substrate. <P>SOLUTION: A line head is provided with the lens array with lenses formed from resin and provided on the glass substrate. In the lens array, a plurality of lens rows each with a plurality of lenses arranged in a first direction, are arranged in a second direction orthogonal or almost orthogonal to the first direction, and when an area provided with the lenses out of the glass substrate is set as a lens area, a first direction width W11 in the first direction of the lens area and a second direction width W12 in the second direction are in a relationship to satisfy W11>W12. In a lens cut surface of the first direction including an optical axis of an image forming optical system, a curvature of a lens outer peripheral part has an opposite sign of a curvature of the lens center, or has a smaller absolute value than the curvature of the lens center. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
