<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic tool changing device changing a tool in a shorter time by increasing the amount of an overlap movement of a rotating movement and an axial back-and-forth movement of a change arm. <P>SOLUTION: An arm drive device 32 is configured to perform an overlap movement of a rotating movement for rotating a change arm 23 by 180°and an axial back-and-forth movement for shifting the change arm back and forth to remove and insert a tool 37. In the overlap movement of a change arm removal movement, the change arm is rotated by an alternating amount in the direction reverse to the normal direction to which the change arm is rotated by 180°, and then rotated in the normal direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
