PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device in which a power source circuit can be shut down by using a circuit breaking switch on a side of a lamp exchange door when an ignitor exchange door is opened. SOLUTION: The light source device includes: a device main body 2; a lamp exchange window 4a opening to the device main body 2 and a lamp exchange door 14 which opens and closes the lamp exchange window 4a; a lamp exchange door 14 opening at a position different from the position of the lamp exchange window 4a opening to the device main body 2 and an ignitor exchange door 51 which opens and closes the lamp exchange door 14; a door opening detecting switch 21 which detects an opening and closing of the lamp exchange door 14; a circuit breaker unit which breaks a current flow to a circuit inside the device main body 2 when the door opening detecting switch 21 detects an opened status of the lamp exchange door 14; and a door opening and closing regulating mechanism which locks a closing status of the ignitor exchange door 51 when the door opening detecting switch 21 detects a closed status of the lamp exchange door 14 and allows an opening of the ignitor exchange door 51 when the door opening detecting switch 21 detects the opened status of the lamp exchange door 14.
