PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor controller, which is possible of trial operation without requiring a high-order commanding apparatus even if it is a machine which drives a plurality of motors having gantry mechanisms, and a motor driving method. SOLUTION: The motor controller includes a plurality of positional control units 141 to 143, a plurality of velocity control units 151 to 153, and a plurality of motor driving circuits 161 to 163, and also includes a parameter changer-reader 17 which stores parameters for setting continuous operation pattern in a memory separately for each of plural motors 4 to 6 to be driven and reads it out of the memory 18 when generating a positional command in a command pattern generator 12. The command pattern generator 12 reads parameters for every motor stored in the memory 18 by means of a parameter changer-reader 17, and sets continuous operation patterns for every motor 4 to 6.
