<p>The invention to which this application relates is to a system and method for use in the determination of the capabilities of an electronic device such as, for example, a mobile telephone. The system and method allow software applications which are downloaded to the device to be rendered operable in an effective manner. A first version of the application is downloaded and, if operation is acceptable, subsequent versions are sequentially downloaded until the optimal version of the application for operation with the particular device is provided on the device.</p> |
