An apparatus for detecting an earth wire is provided to detect the earth wire of an AC power terminal using potential induced from the body of the electric device receiving the AC power. A checking switch(2) switches the corresponding switching terminal in each contact point for detecting an earth wire. One end of a neon lamp(4) is connected to a ground plate or earth line and the other end is connected to the switching terminal of the checking switch. The neon lamp is turned on by receiving the constant potential induced from the body of the electric device according to the switching of the earth wire of the checking switch. One end of a detection switch(6) is connected to the ground plate or earth wire together with the one end of the lamp and the other end is connected to the switching terminal of the checking switch. The detection switch is switched for applying the constant potential induced from the ground plate or earth wire to the lamp. An electric device(8) applies the potential induced from the body of the corresponding device to the neon lamp and the detection switch. |
