A base for a desktop robot is provided to widen the width by making the configuration in which the base assembles the mounting member and supporting member. A base for a desktop robot comprises a mounting member(10), a supporting member(20) and a fixing member(30). A recess(13) is formed on the mounting member. An engagement claw(23) is formed in the inner side of a support piece. The engagement claw adheres closely to both side walls(14) of the mounting member. The fixing member is connected to the side wall of the mounting member and the engagement claw of the supporting member in order to unite the two members. The fixing member comprises a bolt. A fitting groove(15) is formed on the both side wall of the mounting member. An inserting projection(24) is formed on the engagement claw of the supporting member. The inserting projection is combined in the fitting groove and the mounting member and supporting member are interconnected.
