Biodegradable horticultural material with agronomic utility

Biodegradable material of agronomic interest for the manufacture of a plant growing medium, comprises crushed algae and vegetable filler comprising lignocellulosic fibers or a mixture mainly composed of lignocellulosic fibers. Independent claims are included for: (1) a plant growing medium comprising the material; and (2) a process for manufacturing of the biodegradable material of agronomic interest, for the manufacture of the plant growing medium, comprising homogenous mixing (E2) of crushed algae, water and vegetable filler comprising lignocellulosic fibers or mixture mainly composed of lignocellulosic fibers, and one or several steps of removing water contained in the mixture.
