摘要 The material is deformed in a gap, making it flat, and enters a cooling section where the temperature is measured over an area. The evaluated temperature is used to control the gap. An infra-red camera, preferably a thermal imaging camera, is used to register the temperature, which is shown on a display unit. The width of measurement extends over the entire width of the product, and it is taken immediately after the gap. The gap is formed by an extrusion nozzle, which is adjustable over its width. Alternatively, rollers are used. In this case, the roller gap, crossing, flexure, angular velocity, drawing rate or roller sphericity may be controlled from the measured temperature. It may be used to control hot air or radiant infra red heating. The cooling section is formed by a cooling roller, where the temperature is measured. This measurement is accompanied by one of weight per unit area, or thickness measurement of the product. The camera is directed onto the cooling roller. The thermal imaging camera (4) has a two-dimensional sensor array and is connected to a computer (6) controlling the gap. An independent claim is included for corresponding plant equipment.
