A method for producing a polarizing film, a polarizing plate, and an optical laminate are provided to obtain superior optical durability by determining the concentration of boric acid as a certain degree. In a method for producing a polarizing film, a polarizing plate, and an optical laminate, a polyvinyl alcohol film is dyed by a dichroic pigment. The polyvinyl alcohol film is cross-linked with a boric acid, and the pH of the boric acid aqueous solution is adjusted in the cross-linked boric acid aqueous solution less than 4. In cross-linked process, concentration of the boric acid in the boric acid aqueous solution is 4-6 parts by weight of water 100 parts by weight.
