<p>The cover device (101) has a sticky surface area for covering a sample carrier (5) in liquid-tight fashion after connection of the cover device to the sample carrier in the sticky surface area. The sticky surface area comprising a thermoplastic or poly dimethyl siloxane (PDMS) sylgard 184 is formed by applying an adhesive layer is applied on carrier material.
