<p>The method involves feeding forward a goods strand (7) of strand-like food on a cutting device i.e. rotary cutter, to cut the food into slices, strips or cubes. Low pressure is produced within an inner space of a contact element (29). An intake region of the element is divided into an internal partial intake region and an external partial intake region (37), and the inner space is divided into partial inner spaces (41, 41'). The partial intake regions abut one another, are separated from each other by a contact line (K) and form internal and external partial fixing regions (42, 43). An independent claim is also included for a cutting machine for cutting of strand-like food, comprising a cutting device.</p> |
