FIELD: process engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: cooler comprises a water bath, a rotary drum installed in it, facilities for loading and unloading of loose materials. At the same time the drum along the perimetre is made of three or more helical strips of concave or convex shape folded and joined to each other along drum length and having identical width and length, relative to the axis of drum rotation with formation of external laps along the drum perimetre. Besides, along the entire length inside the drum there is a cylindrical spring, and the drum is equipped with a device to change pitch of spring turns by means of its extension or compression. ^ EFFECT: improved efficiency of cooling, due to higher intensity of heat exchange between particles of loose materials and cooling water. ^ 4 dwg |
