PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a load on a driver when changing a lane, in a collision avoidance support device for supporting so that a one's own vehicle does not collide with the other vehicle when changing a lane. SOLUTION: The collision avoidance support device sets a constant-velocity change region required when the one's own vehicle changes a lane while maintaining a current velocity, an acceleration change region required when the one's own vehicle accelerates then changes a lane, and a deceleration change region required when the one's own vehicle decelerates then changes a lane (S210). In addition, the system extracts a region where no vehicle exists from the regions set by respective change region setting means (S230). Furthermore, the system determines that lane change is dangerous when there is no region where no other vehicle exists; lane change can be carried out while maintaining the current velocity when there is no other vehicle in the constant-velocity change region; and a lane change can be carried out by acceleration or deceleration when there is no other vehicle in the acceleration or deceleration change region (S150).
