<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a client-server type input method editor having security, portability and robustness. <P>SOLUTION: The input method editor includes a client program and a server program. The client program makes a computer execute processing for transmitting a key input event by inter-process communication, processing for receiving display information corresponding to the key input event by the inter-process communication and processing for displaying information in accordance with the display information.
