PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for presenting further effective information in performing processing work to a worker, in a power tool having a speed change mechanism. SOLUTION: This power tool has the speed change mechanism 117 for switching to a second driving mode of driving a tip tool 113 in low speed-high torque from a first driving mode of driving the tip tool in high speed-low torque in response to a load of the tip tool 113, and includes detecting and notifying means 161, 163 and 167 for notifying switching operation to the second driving mode from the first driving mode by detecting a predetermined setting state of the first driving mode before switching.
