PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high frequency amplifier that is compact in size by distributing input signals without using a distributor. SOLUTION: The high frequency amplifier includes: a node N connected to an input terminal 3; an output matching circuit 8 connected to an output terminal 4; first and second branch lines connected in parallel between the node N and the output matching circuit 8; a carrier power amplifier 1 inserted into the first branch line to amplify an input signal from the input terminal 3; a peak power amplifier 2 inserted into the second branch line to amplify the peak component of an input signal; a first input matching circuit inserted to the input side of the carrier power amplifier 1; and a second input matching circuit inserted into the input side of the peak power amplifier 2, and outputs a composite output signal of the carrier power amplifier 1 and the peak power amplifier 2 from the output terminal 4. The first input matching circuit is configured of an LPF type circuit 5, and the second input matching circuit is configured of a series circuit comprising a transmission line 6 ofλ/4 electric length and an LPF type circuit 7.
