PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery capable of realizing high energy density and productivity improvement, and also capable of reducing incidence of short circuit failure. SOLUTION: A collector terminal 5 includes a plate-like part 50 arranged along an end surface of a power generation element where a collector is exposed, and the plate-like part 50 includes at least a groove part 51 formed from an inner peripheral part to an outer peripheral part of the power generation element, and a plurality of slits are fitted at the groove part 51. The collector exposed at the end surface of the power generation element, has a plurality of slits inserted through, and the collector with the plurality of slits inserted through and the collector terminal 5 are made jointed.
