PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curtain holder which drops a curtain before the curtain is burnt when a fire breaks out in hospital rooms of a medical institution or the like, consequently does not hinder water sprinkling of a sprinkler and quickly prevents spread of the fire and which does not require a large-scale facility. SOLUTION: The curtain holder uses an O-ring shaped curtain runner 2 having a through hole hanger portion 5 for suspending curtain hooks, the hanger portion 5 of the O-ring shaped curtain runner 2 is formed into a divided shape of an upper hemispherical part 7 and a lower hemispherical part 8, the part hemispherical part 7 and the lower hemispherical part 8 are joined by a member which melts or deforms at 55°C to 85°C. Thus, the curtain fabric is dropped when the temperatures from 55°C to 85°C which is higher than the normal temperature and lower than the temperature given when flames are directly applied is provided for the hanger portion 5 of the O-ring shaped curtain runner 2, so that the spread of the fire is preventable without hindering water sprinkling of the sprinkler.
