PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for performing the quantitative analysis of inorganic ions, especially the sulfate ions of organic sulfonate ions, in a surfactant with high sensitivity and high accuracy. SOLUTION: In the quantitative analysis of inorganic ions, for example, sulfate ions in a surfactant, such as an organic sulfonate, an ESI (electrospray ionization)-MS (mass spectrometry) analysis method is used. A sample is dissolved in a methanol/water mixed solution, and the inorganic ions are analyzed with high sensitivity and high accuracy by preparing a predetermined concentration by an internal standard addition method.
