PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a siloxane structure-containing epoxy resin composition excellent in heat stability, and a cured article thereof. SOLUTION: The epoxy resin composition includes an organo-polysiloxane (A) and zinc salt and/or zinc complex (B) as indispensable components. However, the organo-polysiloxane (A) and the zinc salt and/or the zinc complex (B) satisfy the following condition: Organo-polysiloxane (A), i.e., an epoxy resin having at least a glycidyl group and/or an epoxycyclohexyl group in the molecule, and a zinc salt and/or zinc complex, i.e., a zinc salt of a phosphoric ester and a phosphoric acid and/or a zinc complex having these as a ligand.
