The device comprises one or multiple actuators (4) for individual wheel adjustment of drive and brake torques, and a driving dynamics observer (2), which provides a yaw rate and yaw acceleration corresponding to the reference model of the vehicle. A servo control unit is provided for production of an adjusting signal component for the actuator corresponding to the signal. An independent claim is also included for a method for influencing the transverse dynamics of a motor vehicle.
