The humidistat (1) has a humidity-sensitive pre-tensioned strip (15) acting on a current supplying contact spring (14) e.g. copper beryllium spring and copper cobalt beryllium spring, by a triggering element (18). The contact spring is arranged between contacts (12, 13) so that an abruptly switching electrical contact of the spring with one of the contacts is obtained during compressing and/or decompressing the strip in decreased and/or increased air humidity. A magnet (19) is arranged behind one of the contacts and interacts with armature disks.
