The present invention relates to a gas safety management system using wireless communication in a building, and particularly, to a gas safety management system capable of preventing accidents caused by a gas leak or reducing the scope of damage from an accident caused by a gas leak, by implementing a wired/wireless sensor network, centered around a home-network device, in a building, and turning off gas or activating an automatic fire extinguisher when there are indications of abnormalities such as a fire or leakage of gas. The gas safety management system of the present invention comprises: a fire detection sensor node provided with a wireless communication module to detect the presence of carbon monoxide, smoke, and the generation of smoke; a gas detection sensor node provided with a wireless communication module; a home network device for wirelessly receiving detection signals from the fire detection sensor node and the gas detection sensor node, analyzing the wirelessly received detection signals, and wirelessly transmitting, to a gas meter, a command signal for turning off the gas when the occurrence of an abnormality is determined from the analyzed results; and said gas meter for turning off gas according to the gas turn-off command signal wirelessly received from the home network device. Here, sensor nodes may be installed within a building. Also, the home network device is a so-called wall pad provided with a wireless communication module. Further, the gas meter may be a microcomputer meter provided with a wireless communication module.
|
