PURPOSE: A communication device and method for power saving are provided to control entry into a power saving mode with the forwarding table of neighbor communication devices. CONSTITUTION: Based on a routing protocol, a routing unit(201) transmits and receives data with neighbor communication devices. A forwarding table(202) stores the forwarding information of data. A power saving information exchange unit(203) decides data transmission stoppage for a first communication device among the neighbor communication devices with the forwarding table. The power saving information exchange unit transmits power saving information to the first communication device.
