BASE MATERIAL WITH TRANSPARENT FILM, AND COATING LIQUID FOR FORMING TRANSPARENT FILM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base material with a transparent film having a better antiglare performance than the conventional base materials with transparent films.

SOLUTION: The base material with a transparent film is composed of a base material and a transparent film formed on the base material. The transparent film includes micro-ring like inorganic oxide particles and a matrix component. The micro-ring like inorganic oxide particles are distributed in the upper part of the transparent film in an unevenly large extent. At least a part of the micro-ring like inorganic oxide particles form ring-like protrusions on the surface of the transparent film. The average height (H protrusion) of the protrusions is in the range of 0.1-1 μm. The micro-ring like inorganic oxide particles have an average outer size (DO) of 0.5-20 μm and an average through hole diameter (DI) of 0.18-12 μm. A ratio of the ring width (WR) to the average outer size (DO):(WR)/(DO) is in the range of 0.2-0.45. The ring thickness (Wh) is not greater than the average outer size (DO).
