<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a target detection apparatus and a target detection method which associates a lost target with a newly detected target and clarifies that they are the same target, thereby detecting the target continuously. <P>SOLUTION: On the basis of the coverage for each radar system, information on adjoining to extra coverage areas obtained by sectioning an area after removing the coverage from a predetermined area, information on adjoining between the extra coverage areas, lost information which associates the position and the date and time when a target which had moved to the outside of the coverage of the radar system was detected lastly, the coverage, and the speed and type of the target with an identifier of the target, and information on a target which has been newly detected by the radar system, the target detection apparatus associates the lost target with the new target. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
