<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deenergized operating brake suppressing/preventing occurrence of abnormal noise (so called "squeal") during braking, maintaining stable operation over a long period of time, and excellent in practicality. <P>SOLUTION: This deenergized operating brake X includes: an electromagnet section 1 provided with an exciting coil 12 in a yoke 11; an armature 2 slidable along the axial direction of a braked shaft S and forming a magnetic circuit together with the electromagnetic section 1; and a plate 4 arranged in a position opposed to the armature 2 along the axial direction of the braked shaft S. In the deenergized operating brake X, a viscoelastic body 6 covering the whole second opposed surface 1B is compressively arranged between the electromagnet section 1 and the armature 2 by the use of a level difference 1D between the second opposed surface 1B of a coil portion 12 as a surface opposed to the armature 2 and the first opposed surface 1A of the yoke 11 as a surface opposed to the armature 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
