摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique of deciding whether a generation factor of a knocking when an EGR mechanism is in operation is due to the flow rate decrease of an EGR gas in a spark-ignition type internal combustion engine with the EGR mechanism. SOLUTION: When the knocking is generated in an operating range where the EGR mechanism operates, an intake pipe pressure after knock control and throttle control are applied thereto is acquired, and it is determined whether the generation factor of knocking is the flow rate decrease in the EGR gas by comparing the acquired intake pipe pressure with a specified value provided beforehand.
