PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional system that a plurality of simulators corresponding to respective peripheral apparatuses are prepared to perform an S/W test having an input/output function to/from the peripheral apparatuses, an inspection of output data and output timing to the peripheral apparatuses is performed by analyzing an S/W log by visual observation, and thereby much labor is required for the S/W test, so that automation of the S/W test is desired. SOLUTION: A scenario 3 for a text execution program in which a test execution procedure of a program 7 to be tested is described and a scenario 4 for a simulation I/F in which the operation of a simulation I/F 8 for simulating a plurality of peripheral apparatuses is described are previously prepared. The automatic software test system includes: a time interval determination means of output data 10 which is sent from the program 7 to be tested to the simulation I/F 8; a response means for determining response data 11 of the simulation I/F 8 in accordance with the contents of the output data 10; and a response change means for changing the response data 11 when receiving set data after receiving change trigger receiving data to achieve complete automation and power saving of tests.
