Provided are an optical sheet roll such that yield can be improved by reducing the portions not usable as an optical sheet when cutting out an optical sheet (50) with an appropriate size; a method for manufacturing the optical sheet roll; a method for manufacturing an optical sheet using the optical sheet roll; and a method for manufacturing a display device using the optical sheet roll. A belt-shaped optical sheet (40) is provided with a substrate layer (30) and an optical function layer (10) having light transmissive portions (11), (11), ... which are formed in parallel along the surface of the substrate layer and can transmit light therethrough, and grooves (12), (12), ... which are formed in parallel between the light transmissive portions, and the belt-shaped optical sheet (40) is rolled up so as to form an optical sheet roll (1). The longitudinal direction of each groove is inclined to the longitudinal direction of the substrate layer.
