PURPOSE: A hot tapping pipe is provided to remove the need of a separate gate valve and prevent an opening/closing member from protruding out of the pipe body. CONSTITUTION: A hot tapping pipe comprises a body(100), an opening/closing member(200), and an opening/closing member operating unit(300). The body is divided into a top body(110) and a bottom body(120). The top body has an arc-shaped top coupling groove(111) and a flange part(115) that are respectively formed on the bottom and top thereof, and the flange part has a central communication hole(114) passing through the top coupling groove. The bottom body has a bottom coupling groove(121) that is formed on top thereof. The top and bottom bodies are pressed onto a main pipe of a pipeline and fastened together. The opening/closing member is installed between the main pipe and the body and transferred along an arc-shaped path on the exterior of the main pipe. The opening/closing member operating unit controls the position of the opening/closing member to selectively close or open the communication hole of the top body.
