PURPOSE: An orally narrated fairy tales system for using a script reading robot is provided to enable children to concentrate on a fairy tales by making a robot take proper actions. CONSTITUTION: A script database(500) stores script indicating the action which a performed by a robot in a markup language. An interpreter(700) translates the script. A control unit(800) controls the robot by the translation result. A motion definition database(100) stores the predetermined actions. An action definition database(300) stores the action which will be acted by the robot. A matching unit(600) connects the action of the behavioral definition database and the markup language.
