<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a verification device which certainly reads an identification code printed on a printing medium even if changing the conveying speed of a printer. <P>SOLUTION: The verification device includes an insertion port for inserting into the device a continuous paper delivered from the printer, a conveyance means for conveying the continuous paper inserted from the insertion port, a detection means for detecting the position of the continuous paper, a speed detection means for detecting the conveying speed of the conveyed continuous paper, an exposure dose determining means for determining the exposure dose to be irradiated to the identification code based on the conveying speed detected by the speed detection means, an irradiation part for irradiating a light based on the exposure dose determined by the exposure dose determining means, an analysis means for analyzing the information of the identification code irradiated by the irradiation part, and an error printing means for making the error printing on the continuous paper when the identification code has been determined not to be readable by the analysis means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
