<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that stabilizes the speed of a current of air on the air inlet side of a charging member even if pulsation occurs in the speed of the current of air on the air blowing source side, compared to an image forming apparatus that does not include the configuration of the present invention. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a charging wire for charging the surface of a photoreceptor drum; a blowing opening 82, disposed parallel to the charging wire, for blowing outside air to the charging wire; a guide portion, disposed on one lengthwise end of the charging wire, for changing the direction of a passage of the outside air, taken in from the air inlet 70a, and guiding it to the blowing opening; a guide member 86A disposed closest to the air inlet of the guide portion and formed so as to curve from the air inlet side toward the blowing opening; and two other guide members 87A and 87B disposed in the guide portion so as to be parallel to the charging wire. The air inlet side end of the guide member 87A is located closer to the air inlet than the air inlet side end of the guide member 87B.
