PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission for motorcycle, which maintains compact property in vehicle width and radial directions. SOLUTION: The transmission for motorcycle includes an input shaft 5, an output shaft 6, and a plurality of input-side and output-side shift gears, and is changed in speed by a shift mechanism. The input-side shift gears are fixed around one shaft of the input shaft 5 and the output shaft 6, for example, the input shaft 5 in the axial direction, and the output-side shift gears are fixed to the output shaft 6 in the axial direction and fitted so as to be rotatable around the shaft, and a plurality of slider rings 51, 52, 53 for dog-connection is also fixed around the shaft and provided to be slidable in the axial direction. Engagement holes 54 are formed in the slider rings 51, 52, 53, and engagement projections 56 are formed on the output-side transmission gears, the engagement projections being engageable with the engagement holes 54 by axial movement of the slider rings 51, 52, 53.
