PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire detector having a structure suitable for reduction in size. SOLUTION: The fire alarm 1 is provided with: a case 2; an substantially L-shaped substrate 11 arranged in the case 2; a tact switch 13 formed on the substrate 11 near the end of one substantially L-shaped arm section; a terminal 14 formed on the substrate 11 near the end of the other substantially L-shaped arm section; a smoke detection unit 6 formed on the substrate 11 of the substantially L-shaped base end; and a battery 10 arranged on the opposite side of the switch 13 so as to interpose the smoke detection unit 6 when viewed from a direction orthogonal to the cover surface 3A of the case 2.
