PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire detector for preventing a malfunction due to external rays of light. SOLUTION: A fire detector 1 is provided with: a cover 3 having a cover surface, a cover lid section projecting from the cover surface, and an opening formed between the cover lid section and the cover surface for introducing smoke; a smoke detection unit 6 arranged in the cover inside the cover lid section so that the side face section can be exposed through the opening, the unit at least partially projecting from the cover surface for detecting smoke; smoke sensors (14, 15) arranged in the smoke detection unit; a substrate 11 on which the smoke detection unit is arranged; and a reflection prevention part formed at least in an area on the substrate corresponding to a gap formed between an outer circumferential face formed at the side face section of the smoke detection unit and the inner peripheral face of the opening for smoke introduction formed on the cover surface, for preventing the reflection of incident external rays of light.
