PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent such erroneous transmission that a user transmits data by mistake although the user has no intention to transmit data. SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus for controlling the transmission of data is configured to, in response to the operation of a user when the transmission of data is instructed by the user, determine whether to hold the data whose transmission instruction has been received, and to, when determining to hold the data, hold the transmission of the data during a holding time to be spent on the operation of the user when the transmission of the data are instructed.
