The chair (1) has a bookshelf (10) mounted under a seat part (3) that is attached to a chair frame. The bookshelf is mounted in a height direction of the chair variable at the chair frame and/or the seat part. A book (9) i.e. prayer book, is provided in the bookshelf. The bookshelf is made of a curved metal bar, plastic or wood. Support portions (13) are pivoted away from a lower side of the seat part. Suspension legs (16) of the bookshelf run parallel to each other in a direction of a central longitudinal axis of the chair.
